Aim:
To design and plan your own PVC pipe lamp through sketching and labeling.

Steps

1. Step 1: Decide the Purpose

   • Think: What will your lamp be used for?
     Examples:

     • Reading lamp: Bright light focused on your table.

     • Night lamp: Soft, warm light for the bedroom.

     • Emergency lamp: Rechargeable or solar-powered for power cuts.

   • Write down your lamp’s purpose at the top of your page.

2. Step 2: Choose the Structure

   • Will it be tall or short?

   • Will it stand on a table or hang from a wall?

   • Decide the shape of the base, stand, and shade.

   • Use your ruler to draw straight lines for the PVC pipe frame.

3. Step 3: Add Key Components

   • Mark and label where you will place:

     • Bulb holder (at the top or inside the shade)

     • Switch (on the wire or base)

     • Battery or plug wire

   • Draw arrows or labels to show wire paths inside the structure.

4. Step 4: Label Materials

   • Write names of materials next to each part. Example:

     • Frame: PVC pipe

     • Joint: PVC elbow connector

     • Shade: Paper, plastic, or recycled material

     • Bulb: LED bulb

     • Wire: Insulated copper wire

5. Step 5: Add Design Details

   • Add colors, patterns, or decorations.

   • Think of ergonomic design (easy to handle, not too heavy).

   • Add small details like an on/off button, USB port, or adjustable neck if you want to be creative.

6. Step 6: Give Your Lamp a Name!

   • Example: “GlowSmart,” “StudyBuddy,” “EcoLight.”

   • Write your lamp name and sign your design — like a real product designer!
