Inside the hub

A place to turn knowledge into something that works.

Silicon's Makers Lab was inaugurated in September 2021 to give students a place to learn new technologies by building with them. Its central objective is proof-of-concept development: turning an idea into a working system under the guidance of experienced mentors.

The facility brings together electronic components, sensors, microcontrollers, open-source platforms, 3D printers and general toolkits. Activities are governed through the Student Innovation Promotion Cell, linking open-ended making with the university's wider research and innovation culture.
