- Space format
- Open makerspace
A place to turn knowledge into something that works.
Dehradun Makerspace was launched as Karkhana's first lab in the city in collaboration with iKSANA and QTaxon Innoversity. It is conceived as a shared launchpad where learners and early-stage builders can move from an idea to something they can hold, test and improve.
The facility combines digital fabrication with practical workshop capabilities. Structured learning modules and a local maker community make the tools useful to first-time learners as well as teams developing more ambitious prototypes.
Capabilities built around making.
3D printing
Fast physical iterations for enclosures, mechanisms, visual models and proof-of-concept parts.
Laser & CNC workflows
Accurate cutting and machining for flat-pack structures, panels and custom components.
Electronics benches
Dedicated space for circuit assembly, sensors, embedded systems and test equipment.
Woodworking
Practical tools for larger prototypes, fixtures and mixed-material builds.
The intended outcomes
- Make professional prototyping tools locally accessible
- Connect makers with peers, mentors and collaborators
- Support the journey from early experiment to demonstrable product
